1. How to calibrate a wet gas flowmeter? Usually, a standard volumetric flask is used to calibrate a wet gas flowmeter. The volume of a standard volumetric flask is exactly 1 liter between its scales I and II. Introduce the gas in this volume into a wet gas flowmeter. If the pointer of the flowmeter also rotates 1 liter, the flowmeter reading is correct. Otherwise, the flowmeter should be adjusted or calibrated. Test operation process:

1. Adjust the wet gas flowmeter as required (fill the wet gas flowmeter with an appropriate amount of water and level it).

2、 Connect the standard volumetric flask, water cup, and wet gas flowmeter, and add a certain amount of water to the water cup.

3、 Open plug 5 and rotate plug 6 to allow air from the standard volumetric flask to enter the flow meter. When the flow meter pointer reaches the integer value, rotate plug 6 to allow the air in the standard volumetric flask to communicate with the atmosphere.

4、 Lower the water cup position to lower the water level. When the water level drops to scale II, close valve 5 to stop the water level at scale II. Put the water cup back on top of bracket 4.

5、 Rotate plug 6 to connect the air inside the standard volumetric flask with the flow meter. After opening plug 5, the air inside the flask flows into the flow meter again. When the water level rises to scale I, close plug 5. Read the flow meter reading and fill it in the record sheet.

6、 Repeat the above steps

3,

4, 5, read the flow meter reading, and fill it in the record sheet. Until the flow meter pointer completes one full turn. If the reading of the flow meter is always lower (or higher) than the volume of the standard volumetric flask

, it indicates that the water level in the wet gas flow meter is low (or higher), and can be adjusted by adding water (or reducing water) for sock bending. If the reading of the flowmeter is sometimes lower than the volume of the standard volumetric flask and sometimes higher than the volume of the enclosed standard volumetric flask, it indicates that the impeller is uneven. At this time, the correction factor should be calculated and the correction curve should be drawn for use in measurement.

2. Why is a wet gas flowmeter called wet? Is it not possible to measure dry gas?

Wet gas flowmeter, why is it called wet? It has a working principle, not a dry wet one. The working principle is that a cylindrical drum surrounded by blades is installed inside a closed cylindrical shell and can rotate freely around the central axis. The rotary drum is divided into three to four chambers by blades (as shown in the figure above, there are four chambers), and the inner and outer walls of each chamber have straight slit openings resembling liquid cherry (the inner wall opening is the inlet of the measuring chamber, and the outer wall opening is the outlet of the measuring chamber). The flowmeter housing contains about half the volume of water or low viscosity oil as a sealing liquid, and half of the drum is immersed in the sealing liquid. As gas enters the flow meter (as shown at the inlet of the liquid level center in the figure), it enters a gas chamber A inside the rotary drum. At this time, the inlet of chamber A is exposed to the liquid level, and the inlet is connected to the flow meter inlet to start inflating; B chamber is filled with gas, and its inlet and outlet are sealed by liquid level, forming a closed "buc
